One to One Coaching and Therapy

I work one to one in informal sessions in a domestic setting, it will seem very normal.
I believe there should be no separation between what we can achieve together and what you yourself can continue with in the future.
Change doesn't happen through technology or being in a clinical setting. So I have made an active choice not use 'state of the art' equipment or fancy euipment and furniture. The change comes from within you and the resources you draw upon. We will work together to discover the best way forward.

When you first contact me we will speak on the phone for 5 - 10 minutes. This will be an informal chat, a chance to ask questions and check that I can help you and we will arrange our first appointment, or I may suggest another therapist more suited to your needs. When you come to me for therapy it is important that you trust me and feel safe so that you are able to make the changes you want to make.

You should allow an hour and a half for your first session. Subsequent sessions will last between 30 mins and 2 hours, depending upon what we are working on.

Sessions usually cost £65 per hour. Occasionally some problems may need only one session. Other issues can take longer. How long is not just down to me - but as I have said elsewhere, I will challenge you if the progress is not as I would expect and we will address the reasons for that together. This may result in us taking a new direction together or referring you to someone else.
You may want to ask yourself two questions: ‘How quickly do I want to change?’ and ‘How much do I want to change?’
People say, ‘time is money’, but value can also be placed on speed and effectiveness. You wouldn’t want a Taxi driver to take diversions and therefore a long time to get you to your destination and the same should be true in therapy!

Other Arrangements
I take great care to ensure that the content of your therapy and information discussed in will be treated in absolute confidence.
Please refrain from alcohol and any drugs or medication not prescribed by your doctor for 24 hours prior to an appointment. If you are under supervision from your GP for depression or any condition related your therapy you must speak to your doctor first to get a referral.
Remember: I am not a doctor, I cannot and will not offer or make a diagnosis, give medical treatment or medical advice.

If you are late I will, of course see you, but I may not be able to continue after the agreed finish time.
If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time there will be a charge.
Making a decision to change is a big step please call me if you are nervous about coming to an appointment. When you are truly ready to make that positive step, contact me!

Your desire to change is crucial to your success. I don’t do things to you, I work with you.
