Today was a really tough day, but the highlight was working with a few children who for one reason or another were not rehearsing for their school play.
Under construction: one grandfather clock for Cinderella.

18, 19, 20, 21, 22 / 100 Happy days
I enjoyed five minutes of sun in the garden when I got in, had a little mow of my little lawn and then made my own rainbow as I watered my poor little plants.
22/100
A couple of weeks ago I did a quick pastel sketch to make a cover for a class book for a class I was teaching. I went back to that school yesterday to find the year group had used it as a basis for their first art lesson of the year. Happy children, happy me!
21/100
My little boy is back from camp.
(Download is like scout camp, right?)

I defy anyone to find a town with prettier roundabouts than Hemel, enjoying the simple things

My photobook arrived today (of our holiday in Italy last year). It's been lovely looking back. 18/100

16/100 Happy Days
I completed my tax return and have nothing to pay (well, a pound, which they will take by PAYE).
The deadline isn't until the end of January 2015, so I am ahead of the game for once.

15/100 happy days
Another lovely day. Part of my literacy lesson outside because it was wrong to be inside, and an early evening spontaneous walk with a friend.

14/100 Happy Days
How sweet is this? I only taught this little girl for one afternoon - imagine the love her regular teacher gets!
(The handle on the back of the card is because they are learning about castles and making shields)

Sometimes it's the most simple things that give you satisfaction. Like pulling up a dandelion and all its root.

It's not every day you get an imaginary football team named after you (or technically, your husband does) in a graphic novel about youth football and the world cup in Brasil.

11/100 Happy Days
I must admit to fussing about an impending storm this morning, but as it turned out, I couldn't have had better weather for my photography walk this afternoon.
I am happy with a few of my photos, I learned a couple of things about my camera and met some lovely people.
Thank you Woodland Trust, Natural History Museum at Tring, Millican and Tring Brewery for organising this as part of
A Shot in the Park

This term I have started supply teaching. I cannot express how wonderful it is to get to the weekend and have THIS much planning and preparation and assessment to do for next week!

There's nothing like starting a new book, even if I'm not the target audience.
This book is the third novel and first graphic novel by Dave Cousins, I would almost certainly not pick up a book like this if the author wasn't a friend - but he is, and I am looking forward to reading it.

I saved some of a macaroni bake my daughter had made for tea and out it in the fridge for my lunch. In the morning I took it out of the fridge and out it on the counter top... and left it there. When I got to the staffroom fridge and opened my bag to take out my lunch, it wasn't there!
The school secretary took pity on me and sorted me out with a school lunch, and here it is.

This month old gosling had a lovely shake just as I pressed the shutter. It might look odd but he was full of life!

Another flower today - this time it is because the fields and canal paths near me are full of the scent of elderflower. It reminds me of my childhood and the elderflower champagne my mum made in buckets which filled the kitchen floor... and now some clever friends also do!
